Dr. Vories is among the limited number of hair transplant surgeons globally who exclusively perform FUE hair transplantation and the sole practitioner in the United States who conducts the entire procedure personally. As a former recipient of hair transplantation, he possesses a unique understanding of the requirements of individuals experiencing hair loss. This insight informed his decision to employ Follicular Unit Extraction as an efficacious and economically viable method for natural hair restoration.

Michael Vories, MD, a native of Kentucky, obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Eastern Kentucky University and subsequently graduated with Distinction from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in 1996. Following the completion of his internship and surgical residency, Dr. Vories fulfilled his commitment to the National Health Service Corps until 2003, at which point he established Carolina Hair Surgery. Since then, he has devoted his practice exclusively to hair transplant surgery, with a particular emphasis on Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE). Dr. Vories has maintained certification by the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery (ABHRS) since 2007 and currently serves as a member of the ABHRS Board of Directors.

The individual has served as the ABHRS Chairman for the Oral Examination, composing and administering examinations in various locations. Currently, he holds the position of ABHRS Vice President. His practice exclusively offers the FUE procedure due to its perceived advantages. Adhering to the belief that FUE is a surgical procedure, he personally performs all aspects, conducting one procedure per day with a single surgical assistant. He maintains surgical facilities in the metropolitan areas of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Charleston, South Carolina.
